This collaborative video collage by artists Lorraine Butler and Michelle Deignan is an exploration of a selection of Fritz Heider’s formulations on Desire and Pleasure that were detailed in his seminal 1958 book “The Psychology of Interpersonal Relations”. In it a weightless man’s body is re-framed and appraised by Heider’s text as an intense sound track is punctuated by voices reflecting on sensations, threat and vulnerability.
