Just a minute
‘Just a minute’ is a short film about absence and vulnerability in the time of a pandemic. A new image of a contemporary recliner appears on screen every second amounting to 60 seconds of vacant armchairs. Associated with the elderly, people with limited mobility or those receiving medical treatment, recliner armchairs cocoon the ailing body to offer maximum support and comfort. They also fix the body in place – at home, in a nursing home, at a medical centre or a hospital setting. Here, the armchairs are unoccupied.
